Manhattan grand jury indicted former Griants receiver Plaxico Burress on three gun charges on Monday. If Burress is convicted he may face at least three-and-a-half years in prison.
The three charges includes two counts of criminal weapons possession and one count of reckless endangerment. Both the two counts of criminal weapons possession are second degree felonies, and the one count of reckless endangerment comes from shooting himself in the thigh at a nightclub last November. He was not in nfl jersey at that time.
Although Burress made a winning touchdown pass catch in last year's Super Bowl victory, he was still released by the Giants last April and became free agent. At the moment he remains free on 100,000-dollars bail.
