Seahawks had the honor of talking with NBA legend Bill Russell

No Seahawk would think it was another boring evening meeting when they were sitting down and listening to Bill Russell’s speech on Thursday night.

He is NBA Boston Celtics legend. He was a five-time NBA MVP. The stately, 75-year-old Russell came from his home in suburban Mercer Island, Wash., invited by the Seahawks new coach Jim Mora to give them an hour-long speech on what it takes to win as a team. It was absolutely a great speech because all the players listened silently and applauded throughout the speech.

As a team who is coming off a 4-12 season, the Seahawks were surely enjoying the time with the former center renowned for team play. Pictures were taken to record the moment of the legendary former player being with the Seahawks.
